Switzerland To Netherlands 1945. Postal Rates Question.

Hello everyone.

I have a cover with the 1945 Pax 50 cents stamp in single use on a cover from Switzerland to The Netherlands. Can anyone tell me if the 50 cents is the correct postal rate? The cover is an airmail cover, but I do not think that it went by airmail. Sorry no picture I am still at war with my scanner.
