How to distinguish between Canada King George V stamp #125 (1912) and # 131 (1915)?

Yep, a coil pair of 125 will be horizontal (stamps side by side) and a coil pair of 131 will be vertical (one stamp on top of the other). Put another way, 125 has straight edges on top and bottom.
