Help With Translation Japanese Auxiliary Markings On USA Sea Post Cover 1926

this is what I have:
send for the ss pres jefferson on nov 30th 1926
to tokio arriving 16th december
non reclame (not picked up?) and
forwarded to Yokohama arriving on 22-1-1927
advertised in yokohama and not picked up again, stamped retour
backstamp 2 from yokohama 11-3-1927 I think is departure to return adress in ca
arriving in seattle washington it recieves the big pointy hand to final return adress

now I am wondering what the 2 boxed marking in Japanese say? all I know is they are different letters/markings and the back one has more than front one. hoping we have a speaker willing to translate

or any other remarks/comments are welcome too of course

Box on the front: Not sure of the top kanji symbols, but the bottom three symbols are, from the top, year, month, and day, with the red indicating 22 January Showa-2 (1927).

Box on the back: I see a date, 16 Dec, so likely indicating the item was being held in Tokyo as of that date.

For some international mail, English is used in addition to Japanese. Usually the information is generally the same. That said I could tell numbers (dates) were involved as I could read those characters but nothing else.

For number above 9, + is the symbol for 10 (excuse the lack of line length differentiation as I am just using my English keyboard).

While for external mail, the usual Gregorian western calendar dates, beginning in 1873, are used; internally the month/day is the same but the years are counted differently. It is based upon the year the current emperor began his reign. 2023 is R5 (Reiwa 5) as Emperor Naruhito began his reign in 2019 with his era called "Reiwa" which upon death he will be called Emperor Reiwa.

Emperor Yoshihito died 25 December 1926 being replaced by Emperor Hirohito in 1926, thus 1927 was year S2 (Showa 2) internally while 1927 externally.

About first picture,
The wording in the square frame is.'Start of Custody January 22, 2'.

The envelope could not be delivered, probably because the recipient was not available or for other reasons. The letter states that the post office has started to store it.#12288;'2' is probably the year 'Showa 2'.
'Showa' is a 'Japanese era name'.#12288;The era name changes as the new emperor takes the throne.#12288;Incidentally, 'Showa 2' is 1927.


About second picture,
The wording in the square frame is.'Detainment December 16 Storage begins'.
