This 1865 , 20 kopeek stamp possible has a error at it's bottom side. The letter infront of A is not present. Could it be considered to be a variety and is it listed in literature at all ?
Zagorsky lists some fairly minor varieties of this issue. He would have definitely listed a missing character after all of these decades. The stamp is damaged.
I agree that it is very possible tath the surface of the paper was damaged over the long time that it changed it's ownership but it was still interesting to me hear your opinions on the stamp. Thank you.
