The sheets seem to have been too tightly rolled and left that way until someone unrolled it to flatten it much too quickly causing the bends at the perfs.
Who rolled the sheet and how it was stored is a mystery as well as who did not take the time to allow for undamaging unrolling.
Press sheets for long term storage and preservation need to be kept flat. If received even in a large mailing tube, they need to be removed and allowed to return to flat. Self stick gum sheets when rolled and kept that way for a period of time will be harder to flatten as compared to water activated gum sheets. Press sheets without gum are the most easy to flatten given enough time to relax from being rolled.
The few press sheet I have are stored in a large box used for mailing the circus press sheets, flat, by the USPS. Quite good sized and about 1-11/4 inch deep.
