I just realized that the BB guns are actually real Winchester commemorative rifles and nice ones at that. I would have bid on some of those. The Buffalo Bill goes for about $1000.

Some of the rifles were consecutive numbers. I bought 3 filled albums made for checks from 1790-1900. So back to the earlier question on what to offer for C3a if they call me directly..half or 3/4 M ?

You can't make an offer on something you have not seen and evaluated. Look at Siegel's auction results for C3a's. Prices are all over the place of course since all are not equal. Don't forget to get a certificate.

I store all of mine in other people's collections. I even let them pay for them for me.

I did get to see five Inverted Jennies (1 single and a block of 4) on Saturday!

That was pretty cool.

Of course, I happened to be at the National Postal Museum, and they didn't seem to have any prices on the pull out displays...

One person stored the C3a in a locket. Another a vacuum cleaner. Neither worked out very well.

After speaking with several witnesses of the afore mentioned C3a, my hopes of obtaining it "have left the building"
