I have 3 copies of this card, all with different intensity of color on the surcharge. Is this typical?



Only the first one looks like the image in Scott.

Your cards are:
UX39, the first card, revalued in light green, printed regionally by Tickometer machines supplied by Pitney Bowes, and
UX41, the other 2 cards, revalued in dark green, press printed.
The United Postal Stationery Society's catalog of postal cards goes into much fuller detail than Scott.

UX40 and UX42 are the similar, but on the Lincoln card. Here is a partial press sheet of 20 cards of UX42 as cut for sale to the public (typically to printers):
