Afternoon all. Purchased a couple of postcards this morning at a local flea market, and one has me puzzled. Can anyone tell me what the circled '5' next to the cancel signifies on this French card?

The subject matter is the Douai leg of the 'Circuit de l'Est', an air race held over 10 days in August 1910 which took in six legs connecting cities - Paris, Troyes, Nancy, Mezieres, Douai, Amiens then Paris.

Any help much appreciated.
Regards
DavidR
