One of my main thematic collections is "Mythologies of the World" on stamps. It includes stamps and different items about mythologies from many cultures around the world. The collection is organized by the different mythologies in which Greek mythology is the largest of them. Part of the collection is organized in album pages, each shows same subject or a set.

When I started creating my album, I used Hebrew and handwriting. Later, I switched to English and used Microsoft Publisher program to design the pages. I will post here the pages and will write descriptions to pages not written English.

Let's start with Greek and Roman mythologies and the first page introduces the main Olympian gods:

The best set about Greek mythologies ever issued, IMO, is the one issued by Greece in 1935. Since the stamps are issued for air mail, all mythic figures shown are connected with aviation:

I think Aphrodite (Venus), the goddess of beauty, is the Greco-Roman mythological figure most represented on stamps. In my album, ten pages dedicated to Aphrodite, in addition to many other stamps and sets that are still kept in the inventory book. Here are four of the album pages:

The seven wonders of the world, sets from Mali, Hungary, Mongolia and Cuba. From them, my favorite is the set from Mali, all stamps designed by Pierre Gandon and engraved by leading French engravers.

Stories about Zeus, father of the gods, who seduced and abducted women and men to be his lovers.

The most famous of the stories about Zeus as a lover, is the abduction of Princess Europa by Zeus. I have more stamps and items about this story for several album pages.

The 2000th anniversary birth of the Roman poet Virgil:

Several of the stamps show scenes from the Aeneid epic by Virgil. I prepared a different page for them:

Hermes, the messenger of Olympian gods, appears on hundredths stamps since his image became the symbol of the post.

Several stamps of Hermes and Iris, the messengers of gods:
