Hello everyone. Question to the forum members...does anyone know this provisorium?? Does anyone have this item in their collection? It seems like it was produced in the amount of 114 pieces and there were three varieties. Victor Kneitschel described this provisorium. Who has information about this release?

It seems they wrote somewhere that this provisorium was in the collection of the King of Egypt... But no one saw the provisorium for November 4th. They say they were destroyed...is that true? |

Yes, I saw it. But this does not reveal the history of these provisoriums. I know there were two issues. The first was issued in a quantity of 36 copies on November 4th on a typewriter and hand-pierced with a wheel. They were used for several days. The second issue was printed in 36 pieces on blue paper and 42 pieces on white paper. They were used on November 16 and 17. I want to understand exactly whether the provisorium with the date November 4 has been preserved. |

PraisLS ---- I am confused are you talking about printing the original stamp or just the overprint ,which is for rural use . Where are they getting the original printing plates to just make a few copies . |

Somewhere in the 90s it was indicated that this provisorium was in the collection of King Farouk of Egypt. |

It's just that in the 90s, provisorios were purchased from a serious collection on November 4th, but no one had seen it with that date. I found out from collectors specifically from Latin America and specifically from Paraguay, but no one saw it. Another interesting point is that the date is upside down, although on known provisorios it is not upside down and is written in black ink! |

There was an auction that had one of the provisionals up for sale. https://www.stamp-auctions.de/katal...1_band_1.pdfLot 2077 P 2077 1945, provisional issue of the 'Colonia Carlos Pfannl' (an austrian emigrant separated region) on piece. The lable takes 'Remitido sin franqueo por carencia momentánea de estampillas' and a stamped date '8 11 1945', cancelled by circle 'CORREOS COL. CARLOS PFANNEL PARAGUAY'. As we know only 78 copies were printed. A scarce local stamp. (add. some printed informations in Spanish and English) (T) g 80,The pic is of poor quality; _________________________________________________________ Local Provisionals Issues of the colony of Carlos Pfannl In late October 1945 Paraguay ran totally out of stamps. The government permitted a marking of "FRANQUEO-PAGADO" or "PAGADO" to be used in lieu of stamps. However, in District No. 4 (Villa Rica) circular #87 of 26 October advised postmaster to use the following "Remitado sin franqueo por carencia momemtaria de estampillas" (Sent without payment because of the momentary lack of stamps). At the colony of Carlos Pfannl, Sr. Juan Tischendorf used a typewriter to make up labels with the aforementioned words which were used like stamps. There are two "printings" of these locals. The first, in a quantity of 36, was issued on 4 November. The second, in a quantity of 42 were used during the 16th and 17th of November. A small quantity of the second issue which were not used were saved before destruction. I saw this too. And as I understand it, this is the second issue marked on November 8th. I've been looking for the one marked on November 4th for a very long time, but I haven't found anything yet.. |

Some said that most likely it was preserved in a single copy. Even with differences... |

The stamp in the pic is from the first issue... If you want to buy this stamp on the first day of issue nov 4 it may exist somewhere. ; Do you have in your private collection any of these issues? |
