Here's a recently acquired cylinder block of a 1953 "Wilding" definitive with Tudor Crown watermark and a listed flaw: The flaw is the "shamrock flaw" (SG Specialised S13c), and it's on the top right stamp. Normal (position 18/1): Flaw (position 18/2): I have many hundreds of "Wilding" cylinder blocks, but the flaw would have put this one outside my budget if it hadn't got a hinge mark on its back. |

Since Captain Stamp likes flaws, here's an interesting one, not from counter sheets but from coils - from Sideways Coil Roll 2, to be precise. It's interesting because it survived without detection with both the Tudor Crown watermark of 1953 and the St Edward's Crown watermark of 1955. Tudor Crown (SG Specialised S25m): St Edward's Crown (SG Specialised S26q): You'll have to take my word for it that the two strips have different watermarks! The flaw is on the middle stamp of both strips. Normal: Flaw over "O" of "POSTAGE": |

I always liked this item from Australia. Scott 49, ACSC 400bc. It is normally collected as a block of 9. Not rare ... can be found easily at stamp shows. This set has an interesting ink smudge between two of the stamps. Nothing special, but makes it more interesting. |

That's true! All the details like that make a stamp hugely more interesting. They all have their own "personality". Thanks for sharing us, partime! |
