Good one Jr. Ratfish!

23 could be a tough one, so just in case, I'll follow Stallzer's lead here.

Yvert 2156/ Scott 1757 from 1981, one of the Sabine series by the great Gandon.

Not really jleb 1979 but this quote is for you
Quote:
Winning is great, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret is learning how to lose. Nobody goes undefeated all the time. If you can pick up after a crushing defeat, and go win again, you are going to be a champion someday.
-- Wilma Rudolph

Edit: some crushing defeats for her include polio, whooping cough and scarlet fever (leading cause of child death pre-WWII).

Thanks, ParcelPost for filling that one in. I only collect US to about 1990 except for airmail, so I'll confess I don't recall ever seeing that one.

For 31 Here's US C97 of November 1979.
