Hello,

I have bought some bottles of Claritiy some time ago (more than one year). Now I start for the first time to really work with it, and it works good. Does not smell, seems to last longer.

But I did not see any recent discussion about it and it is not in every stamp shop. So I wonder what other collectors think about it, is it still today something you would recommend?

What I would like to know especially: when the bottle was open by mistake or just not closed totally, probably the fluid will go away slowly, correct? If yes: does the fluid vanish as the complete fluid or in chemical parts, so if (only example) half of a bottle has vanished, is the rest still the original fluid, just only the half of the amount?

Sorry for being a bit complicated, after all I just want to know if the Clarity fluid works in daily stamps collecting and also over the years.

I still use Clarity exclusively and have for years and am still happy to do so.
The formulation as far as I know has not been made public so its hard to say if evaporation from the bottle leaves a remnant that is more concentrated than the original liquid was. My guess is the remnant probably is slightly concentrated since the fluid isn't highly volatile, but since Clarity is advertised as "It leaves no residue following evaporation," this likely won't be a problem. I guess to play it safe, you could always try it on an inexpensive stamp to see what happens, at least in the short term...

It's expensive, but it seems to work well. I've never had an adverse reaction from it on a stamp. I guess I'm Bougie that way.

It's hard to know how it evaporates. From a chemistry standpoint, more volatile liquids will evaporate first, like alcohol before water or gasoline before kerosine. The label says "inert fluoro compounds." It does seem to evaporate quickly.

Thank you, good to know. My first impression is really nice.
I just did not really read or hear about Claritiy the last years that much, although watermark fluid was always a topic to be discussed a lot :).

I used to use Prinz Super Safe, but it is not produced anymore.

thanks, yes, but it is not really about experiences with Clarity, and I hoped that some years after the first sales, perhaps we knew also a bit more about what is in there. But it seems at least, that it has proven to work ok over the years.

If Rodg uses it as after-shave, that's enough for me.
