Franklin 10c 1916 on unwatermarked paper.
As per reference from Swedish tiger page, I guess it is a scott# 472 which is supposed to be scarce. The paper without watermark was used for 5 months before being changed to the watermarked paper. The stamp seem to have some creases and the U in US seem to have white in smudged. The third image is of lighter fluid applied to check for watermarks. Will appreciate any info and confirmation if this is a scott# 472. Thank you.

Scott 472 is not rare, the Swedish Tiger is frequently wrong and your stamp is so damaged it is worth about zero.

PS: Orange stamps are about the hardest to see a watermark on.

Isn't there a bit of a double line watermark in the upper left hand corner?

As you can see by these listing prices, 472 used is worth not much which when sound and well centered. Yours with the damage is entirely worthless.

I will further point out that the two buy it now listing include free shipping. That means that the shipping cost of $0.73 plus the expense of the packaging must be deducted from the list price to start with the "value of the stamp" before subtracting listing costs.
