Anyone here in support of Stamp Smarter? The W/F tool is so convenient and easy to use I am sad to see it decay. I know the site is struggling. Anyone have any news?

I had also discovered this earlier today.

I have passed it along to our IT person who hopefully will be able to correct it shortly.

Please feel free to report problems about Stamp Smarter via the CONNECT button on the home page. That is probably faster than posting it here were I don't check on any regular schedule.

When was the last time this Feature was working for you? It might help identify the source of the problem.

Thanks. I use it pretty regularly so it hasn't been long - maybe a week.

Please make sure that the templates_c directory does exist in the root directory of the generated application and it is writable by the web server user.

Something has been moved or renamed (or possibly had its permissions changed) without necessary adjustments elsewhere.

It looks like a fascinating site, and I'd never have heard of it without the report that it was temporarily broken!

We believe that the problem described in the previous message has been corrected.

You may need to refresh the page.

Please let me know if you continue to see the previous error message or have any other problems on Stamp Smarter.

In my future "To-Do" list is to rename that [CONNECT] button to a [CONTACT US] button.

I can connect to the site with Microsoft Edge, but I tried to upload an image to the 3¢ 1851-57 Plating Initiative and it doesn't show up. While in the edit mode while signed in as a contributor, there is a broken image indicator after the upload. While in the user mode, the image doesn't show in two different browsers after refreshing the page.

Classic Coins:

Thanks for the problem report and my apologies.

I have passed this issue on to the IT staff, and hopefully he will get to it in short order.

Is this problem limited only to the 3 cent plating project, or does it affect any of the other plating projects you support?

I do not have sufficient knowledge to try and verify the upload process, and it would be helpful to know if this is an isolated situation, or more general.

Can you advise when was the last time you tried to access this feature and were successful? Like, was it: yesterday, OR last week, OR, I have not accessed the project for the past month.

It might help us identify when the issue started and allow us to better identify the cause.

Thanks.

MikeL

Hi Mike,

The last time I tried to upload an image to the 3¢ 1851-57 Plating Initiative prior to today was March 3 of this year, and I was successful with it on that date.

The problem I encountered today occurred minutes before I posted today's message above. See the screenshot below.

I haven't participated in any other Stamp Smarter plating projects in at least two years.

Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Classic Coins

Edited to add screenshot of broken image after upload attempt (to position 27L1L)
