New York shows started getting smaller and smaller even before Covid. They were held in the Madison Square Garden rotunda in the 1970s, then, when that space was no longer available, moved to the NY Hilton Midtown on 54th Street. When that space got too expensive and was too big, the show moved to The New Yorker near Penn Station for a couple of years. Eventually, the Post Service stopped taking a booth and stopped showing exhibits, and basically became a bourse. I don't remember if there were still shows in 2019-2020, but Covid basically brought an end to them.
