 Singapore March 26 Hawker Culture. This stamp is from a set of 4 stamps celebrating the inscription of hawker culture to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The stamp features examples of a hawker centre in Singapore, with a bicycle at the lower-right quadrant of the stamp; bicycle is common mode of transport for making food deliveries from hawker centres. |

On August 12, 2009 private courier Post Modern of Dresden, Saxony (Germany) issued this 49c stamp. Stamp depicts a Post Modern employee on a bicycle equipped with large baskets and stabilizing wheels designed for mail pickup. Stamp is inscribed "Saxon inventions".  |

On August 17, 2000 Australia issued a one pane, self-adhesive 'Sports Booklet' of ten different 45c stamps to commemorate the 2000 Summer Olympic Games hosted by Sydney. Here is the 'Triathlon Cycling' stamp (Sc #1866) from the booklet. Images of the stamps from the booklet have a consistent appearance. They were created by FHA Image Design of Melbourne, which is presently called FutureBrand FHA.  |

Here is Japan's March 9, 1958 10 yen stamp (Sc #645) commemorating the opening of the Kanmon Undersea Roadway Tunnel for motor vehicles and pedestrians. Stamp depicts the tunnel's two levels, one for vehicles and the other for pedestrians. On the lower level, two pedestrians with bicycles are shown. From britannica.com, "world's first under-ocean tunnel stretching 3.6 km between the islands of Honshu and Kyushu In Japan."  |

On January 27, 1979 Italy issued two stamp set of identically designed, but with different pastel-colored backgrounds, stamps to commemorate the World Crosscountry Bicycle Championships. The 170 lira value (Sc #1352) of the set is shown here.  |
