Reconstruction of the tomb of Avicenna Iran (II)

To raise donations to the reconstruction of the tomb of the Persian physician and philosopher Avicenna (980-1037), Iran issued five sets of five semi-postal stamps each show old Persian art and archaeological places. The stamps were engraved by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co., London and issued in years 1948-1954.

Here is the second set issued on June 11, 1949:

Ahura Mazda and Ardashir I, stone relief from Sasanian era, at Naqsh-e Rustam, Shiraz - shows Ardashir I's coronation ceremony in which he receives his kingship seal from Ahura Mazda, the creator and highest deity of Zoroastrianism:
