v-paul, I think I would try for a refund. $75 USD is a fair amount to lose. I know that I would be scrambling to get my money back.

At $75 You were taken advantage of. These were so poorly done I couldn't see more than a dollar or 2 in value. Go and get a refund! I have a bunch of far better Forgeries that you can have for a lot less.

In the first article of his seminal series on N&P stamps (United States Specialist 9-1966) Frank Braceland surmised there were more fakes/forgeries/facsimiles than legitimate stamps.

I believe this to be the complete series -the final one is a review of N&P stamps in then recent auctions:

United States Specialist - 1966-1974 (9-66, 10-66, 11-66, 12-66, 1-67, 2-67, 4-67, 5-67, 10-67, 11-67, 12-67, 2-68, 4-68, 9-68, 1-69, 2-69, 4-69, 6-69, 10-69, 2-70, 6-70, 2-71, 5-71, 4-72, 7-73, 7-74)

If I missed any, please let me know!

There very likely are. It should be understood that most of the fakes and forgeries say so right on the item somewhere, most were created in the 19th or very early 20th centuries, and most were not originally created to defraud collectors. In those days people collected to fill an album page. Most newspaper stamps were scarce to rare then too, so these were created to give collectors something to fill up the page if they were not the lucky few who could afford to get genuine examples.
That's also why there are so many worldwide 19th century forgeries around; people bought them deliberately to fill spaces and they were very inexpensive. And there was literature around to help people differentiate between the genuine and the fakes. It was only later that they started being used by the unscrupulous to defraud collectors.

V_paul,
If you want to sell them, I would buy them from you.
This would be useful for a body of work I've been compiling for several years.
