Hi,

Is a small part ("NE PAS LIVRER LE DIMANCHE") on top like this stamp is common?

Usualy, I think it is at the bottom.

Thank you!

Yes, the design itself has the dominical tab at the bottom...I don't recall seeing a vertical pair or a sheet, and if I have seen one or the other, it didn't occur to me to separate them with the tab on top.

I probably have a couple hundred used dominicals with tabs, and none were separated with the tab on top. If I ran across one, I'd keep it.

Hi Rod222,

You have one :)

Do you have more information on this stamp (error type, rarity, etc) ?

Thank you!

Not really cdnum,
I have, however watched clerks in busy post offices,
and secretarys in offices, and if one doesn't collect
stamps, it's just "rip 'em off, and lick 'em"

Just a random peculiarity, it may have been a
horizontal strip of 2 that separated erroneously
but I doubt it.
Your example with the CDS at the top may suggest that
do you think?

Greetings All

This is not really a rarity.

Actually what it is is just a case where the postal clerk erronously separated the stamp from the sheet. With the tabs being so small, this was not hard to do.

I too have a few examples in my Belgian collection.

Cheers
