Since I don't have a watermark detector, I can't tell if this is a GB #44 or #49..Any help would be appreciated...Thnx..

You've likely tried this approach already but I've found that watermarks on many of the GB stamps can be seen without the use of fluid by simply placing the stamp face down on a black surface.

Hopefully that will work for you! If not, I'd recommend that you buy a can of lighter fluid (e.g., Ronsonol) or bottle of watermark detector and a black tray. A search of the forum for "watermark" should yield a number of suggestions.
