Are sharks really evil? Are they endangered? This recent miniature sheet from Monaco is entitled "Sharks - Beyond Misunderstanding" features stamps with free divers swimming with sharks. The sharks shown on the sheet are the tiger shark, the blacktip shark, the whale shark and the great white shark.

This quartet from British Indian Ocean Territories (BIOT) issued in 2005 features the blacktip reef sharks, the gray reef shark, the tawny nurse shark, and the silvertip shark.

A 2nd 2005 quartet from the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) features rays - the spotted eagle ray, the porcupine ray, the manta ray, and the feathertail stingray.

A 2012 miniature sheet from France on the theme of tropical fish has a great white shark swimming in the background.

India 2009 Joint issue with the Philippines on marine fauna; from the waters of Philippines there is the whale shark (Rhincodon typus).
