Anton Jamnik (1862-1942) was a Slovenian inventor and versatile master craftsman. He created a wide variety of tools such as grinder for making a clock mechanism, photographic equipment, and wooden camera. The 2022 stamp features his portrait and the drawing of a device for circulating lubrication which received the first Slovenian patent in 1933.  |

André-Marie Ampère (1775–1836) was a French physicist who was one of the founders of the science of classical electromagnetism. This North Macedonia 2020 stamp shows his portrait and his invention of solenoid in 1823.  |

Gustav Tauschek (1899-1945) was a Viennese engineer, with more than 100 patents to his credit, mainly in the field of computing and information technology. This Austria 2022 stamp features his invention of trommelspeicher (US Patent in 1932), a magnetic data storage device which played an important role in the development of computer memory in the 1950s and 1960s.  |

Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) was a Serbian-American engineer best known for his invention of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. The Bosnia and Herzegovina 2018 stamp also features his Wardenclyffe Tower, an early experimental wireless transmission station built in 1901-1902.  |

Ignacy Lukasiewicz (1822-1882) was a Polish chemical engineer. He discovered the a process of distilling kerosene from seep crude oil, invented the modern kerosene lamp, and constructed the world's first modern oil refinery. An Armenia 2022 stamp depicts his portrait with a page of manuscript in the background.  |

Before 1870 Germany consisted of several states, four kingdoms, six grand-duchies, five duchies, seven principalities, three free towns and one 'Reichsland'. Many of them issued their own stamp GERMANY (Local Issues) Magdeburg - Mainz 1888 Gutenberg, inscription "Druckschriften Expedition Circulair Post zu Mainz"  The 20 Mk stamp has been surcharged |

Leo Baekeland (1863-1944) was a Belgian chemist. He is best known for the invention of Bakelite (1907, patented in 1909) which marks the beginning of the age of plastics. A stamp issued by Bpost in January 2024 shows a photograph of Baekeland with his invention.  |

Slovenia First Inventors - Feliks Lobe March 29, 2024 Feliks Lobe (1894-1970) is regarded as one of the founders of modern mechanical engineering. The minisheet depicts drawings of his first patent in 1916 for a mechanical grab for lifting devices.  |

Italy Alessandro Cruto November 8, 2024 Alessandro Cruto (1847-1908) was an Italian scientist. He is know for his invention of an early incandescent light bulb. He also founded a light globe factory in Alpignano in 1886.  |

Baron Anton Codelli (1875-1954) was a versatile Austro-Hungarian inventor and engineer. He is known for bringing the first motor car to Carniola and for his work in long-wave radio communication between Africa and Europe. The minisheet issued in 2025 shows a drawing of his patent of an electromechanical-optical image transmission system (an electric television) in 1930.  |

Julij Nardin (1877-1959) is one of the Slovenian pioneers in aviation and electrical engineering. One of his inventions was a vacuum tube for use in multi-channel telegraphy, telephony and wireless communication. The minisheet issued in 2023 shows drawings of his 1913 patent on improvements to relays.  |
