Yesterday I went to the stamp show in St. Louis and Dutch Country Auction had a table there. Again I spoke to the person who discovered the J92 35306 UL and 35307 UL dull gums in a consignment from a collector in Robert Lee, TX.
This time he told me that the consignor wasn't quite sure where he'd bought the 4 cent dull gums, but the consignor thought it was somewhere in Texas.
I remember that I bought a lot of postage due plate blocks from various philatelic windows in several large cities in the early to mid 1980's. Postage dues were withdrawn in August 1986 by the post office, but were still available until early 1987 from the Philatelic Sales Division.
I'll keep you updated as I find any other information on the J92 dull gums. If anyone finds any J92 dull gums please contact me. I'm still looking for the J96 dull gums. ;>)
A J92 dull gum single is up for auction at the Rasdale Stamp Company Sale 463 Worldwide Public Auction - May 17-18, 2025 in lot 1320. The current bid is $300.
