Finished deduping and mounting the Switzerland material; found one stray Swedish stamp which I also mounted. I keep a crude inventory of every country and the date last updated. Noticed I hadn't worked on either of these countries since 2019.

On to the ISWSC large dup swap circuit!

I finished my spreadsheet of Ireland Issues. I've grown so used to using the Big Blue tracker spreadsheet that I wanted on for Ireland. Thanks to Stanley Lisica's page that give a super-complete listing.

Finished transferring a Philippines collection (over half on Minkus pages) to Vario G. I had to 3 hole punch the pages. The Minkus pages fit perfoectly inside the Vario G binder/

The Minkus pages highlight the Minkus history as some had copyrights by Minkus NY and Novas Debut with Fort Mill SC and Charlotte, NC. The older pages are thinner and the color ranges from light cream to white. The perforation border pattern also varies.

I went to the Vintage Paper Fair in San Francisco, where I bought 27 postcards (some used, some unused). A dealer who was new to the show had some really good stuff, including four cards written in Esperanto for 50¢ or $1 apiece and the day's most amazing score: this postcard from 1898, written in Volapük and priced at only 50 cents!

I started inventorying the Philippines collection. I will remount all the Spanish era on modified Steiner pages. The ones I am still puzzled about are the Filipino Revolutionary Government. My 2018 Scott Classis mentions them but no listings. More later on this after I do some scans.

Modified some Steiner pages by modifying the fonts, added information, added a space for a variety, added catalog and page numbers. Plus found an error.

I will let these rest for a day in case I want to add something.

@angore : what do you use for modification of Steiner's pages ? Do you remake completely the pages with a software like albumeasy or do you have another method ?

Today I soaked five hundred stamps, and let them dry on a towel… they curled a lot but each time I put them between sheets and under pressure, I have a mold developpement.

I tried multiple support : desert drying book, leuchttrum, drying book, the infamous « sandwich » method explained somewhere on this forum… each time I have a purple or yellow mold developping in less than a week.

I tried to put stamps between sheets when they are nearly dry, etc, each time it's a failure, so… I flat them after drying.

For modified pages, I edit the PDF with LibreOffice Draw. If I need significant changes, I will use Album Easy software to create from scratch.

Made my own pages for Vatican "ATM" stamps. I could not find where Scott has these available so I made my own, sized to fit just inside the border of a blank album page.

I had a 3 blocks of 4 of some Washington Franklin stamps and needed to check the watermark. It was very easy to spot the double line watermark!

I have been label my covers with purchase amounts, catalog ID and value so when I pass my sons can sell my collection with less hassle. Also downing sizing so there will be less to deal with at my passing. My wife wants nothing to do with it!

I've been acquiring more stamps for my U.S. International Part I endeavor (there's a whole topic on this), mostly used Postage Due and used Official, but I also acquired MH versions of the Offices in China needed for the Part I page. Pretty sure I'm gonna be talked to by my better half with respect to spending. Once everything arrives and gets organized, I'll be updating that thread with progress. I also recently won a bid for a full set of MNH Kansas and Nebraska overprints. I already had the full set of used and a small handful of other unused, but my 1978 Scott National which is for MNH only starting with #537 and has been calling out to me to fill the Kans. and Nebr. page.
