Long Lake (elevation 3101 m) is located in Jiuzhaigou Valley, a part of the Min Mountains on the northeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau. It is over 4 km in length and is the largest lake in the valley. A terminal glacial moraine deposit darned the valley and created the lake during the Ice Age.

Tianchi (Heavenly Lake) lies on the north side of the Bogda Shan, a part of the Eastern Tian Shan mountains. It is a barrier lake due to Quaternary glacier activities.

Republic of China 7 May 2025 Lantan (Orchid Lake).
Also known locally as the Dutch lake as it was dug by the Dutch about 300 years ago, during the Dutch Formosa period, and filling it with water from the Bazhang River, to irrigate the surrounding fields run by the Dutch East India Company.

Sudochye Lake is a former bay of the Aral Sea. The wetland is a nesting site of many threatened water birds and a stop of migratory birds over Central Asia.

Sary-Chelek is located in Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve in the Western Tien-Shan mountain range. The lake (elevation 1873 m) is surrounded by diverse landscapes: mountain ranges with snow-capped peaks, rapid rivers, swamps, mountain taiga and alpine meadows. The lake was formed by damming of Khoja-Ata River due to earthquake.

Anbangbang Billabong is part of a wetland system in the Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia. During the dry season the water recedes from floodplains into rivers, creeks, and isolated waterholes or billabongs. Kakadu's wetlands are listed as a Ramsar site for their outstanding ecological and hydrological features.

French Equatorial Africa Scott #C37, designed and engraved by Pierre Gandon and issued 2/16/1953. Showing the stamp, a couple of die proofs, a pair of plate proofs, a deluxe proof, first day cover and maximum card!

These were overprinted in 1960 by several countries (that were formerly a part of the AEF) for the Olympics of that year.
