Kyrgyzstan 2021 Petroglyphs of Saimaluu Tash Saimaluu Tash is a petroglyph site in the Fergana Range at 3200 meters above sea level. The site features as many as 98000 drawings on over 10000 stones. Most drawings are from the Bronze Age (2500 - 900 BC) and depict animals, humans, hunting scenes, and sun cult symbols.  |

Germany 2025 EUROPA National Archaeological Discoveries Swabian Jura in southern Germany is home to modern humans first arrived in Europe 43000 years ago during the last Ice Age. A large number of carved figurines of animals, musical instruments and items of personal adornment were found in caves in this area. They represent some of the oldest figurative art worldwide.  |

Gibraltar 2025 National Archaeological Discoveries The Gibraltar Neanderthal skulls are among the most significant fossil discoveries in Europe. The Gorham's Cave Complex on the eastern side of the Rock of Gibraltar is a site of Neanderthal habitation over a period of more than 100,000 years. Studies suggest Neanderthals lived here until around 32,000 years ago, long after they had disappeared from much of Europe.  |

Austria 2025 National Archaeological Discoveries Hallstatt burial ground is a significant archaeological site in Austria. Some 4000 people were buried here between 1000 and 500 BC. Artifacts discovered here provide important insights into the Hallstatt culture, the predominant Western and Central European culture of the Late Bronze to Early Iron Age.
