A recent purchase ,it was something I have never seen in a Worldwide collection . These are a rare complete set of the 1916 ,Franz Josef overprints ,it is Scott 1N1-1N21 imperf. they are listed in Michel 22u-42u at 500 Euro's {$540.00 }. They are all signed .

Starting to finish working on getting complete sets and starting looking to find more material which is rarely seen in large W.W. collections .

It is a interesting transition ,starting as a beginner with a stamp from every country to getting a stamp on every page in my albums , to showing a decent size collection ,then to buying complete sets to looking for the hard to find issues . Guess this transition keeps it interesting . The journey continues .

Perhaps the most difficult are the Parcel Post stamps

Been working on the stamps of Venezuela the past three days . Working with a recent purchase of a stockbook of Venezuela . That time wasn't spend on just adding stamps from the stockbook to my album .Most of the time it was maintenance of replacing damaged ,stained, heavy cancels and adding or checking stamps for different shades .

I never read a article about album maintenance before ,just the idea of up keeping what you already have , it also involues writting stuff under some of the material like a catalog number or a sub-number that is in the catalog . Also if you collect different perfs or just the perforations with footnotes . Steiner pages don't note that some sets are half airmails ,so a footnote like "see XXX in the airmails " is helpful .
Here is a set I finally completed .

I really like the parade of color! The St. Kitts stamps are striking.

The Spanish colonies have very beautiful stamps in that era. They are very similar sets.
