While I would welcome a source for the entire exhibit I am specifically looking for that page which had the Ft Worth Bank Envelope with the with the pair of the $5 Hamiltons, and a 25 cent liberty coil. Or just an image of the cover itself.

Thanks. I have gotten everything cleaned up with the USSS log in and will do so soon.
I was also sent a poor quality photo of the cover, as a pdf in which I am interested getting a good set of photos or scans. My personal photos taken before I sold the item to Tony were destroyed by vandals.
I would post the image here but as a pdf, I can't. |

Thanks for the offer Don, however another SCF member sent me the image as a jpg rather than the pdf he first sent. Here it is, as it is. This is the image which is part of Tony's digitized Liberty Exhibit is the last page. Coping back then was not as clean as today. I have another line out to see if I can get some clean scans or photos. |

How many foreign parcels have been recorded with the Hamilton $5? I have got the one with 545c paying 14-15 pounds parcel to Sweden September 1966, but are there any further known? |

Hello aolsson, first I am guessing that by "545c" you mean US $5.45 in postage with $5 paid by the Hamilton. Secondly, I can state I know of several foreign destination usages of the $5 Hamilton Sc #1053. Please understand I am by far, not the $5 Hamilton expert I just understand what I wrote about regarding the $5 Hamiltons. Thirdly, if you do not have access to the two publications I list above, send me an email message via SCF and I will respond with copies of both. This offer applies to anyone with at least 50 quality posts who can send emails via SCF messaging. My profile is set to accept messages. I'll be waiting..... |

I have recorded 3 uses to foreign destinations in period and commercial. I do not have one recorded to Sweden. |

Well weiszcovers, you do not have the second commercial cover to Africa I learned about at WESTPEX but have yet to tell you about. So five and counting. |

I am posting this illustration for aolsson. He describes the item as follows, Quote: I enclose an image of the parcel. It is too large for my scanner so I had to put together two images so that is the reason for the vertical line somewhat left of the middle. It is paying the rate for a 14-15 lbs parcel (90c up to 2 lbs and 35c for each additional lb making a total of $5.45) There is no date marked in the USA but the Swedish stamps for customs handeling seems to be marked 10.9.66 (Sept 10 1966) The fee for customs handeling in Stockholm was 250 öre 1 July 1965 to 8 January 1967 Note: The vertical line is where the two images were joined into one as the original was too large for the scanner bed. |

For the record, there are 3 covers to foreign destinations, 2 parcel post labels and this package piece to Sweden. I would record one to Africa but need a picture and confirmation that it's a cover. |
