I have not yet started focusing on topical collecting, but recently started getting interested in obtaining a lot of space stamps, but... the question is: how do you organise that? I'd hate to see them just piled up in the stockbook. Anyone has any nice way of organising them?

@NSK thank you, but these seem like quite old posts, 7-10+ years old, so I thought it was a good idea to start the topic again with possibly someone showing photos of their collection and way how they organised them? If this is excessive, feel free to delete the topic

Hi, VerZakes

I collect several topics and I know it is very hard to organize them.

My "monkeys on stamps" collection is organized by taxonomic organization although very general: Prosimians (Lemurs and others), New world monkeys (America), Old world monkeys (Asia and Africa) and Primates: Gorilla, Chimp, Orangutan etc. Besides, I have separate stock books for monkeys in science, monkeys in art, monkeys in cinema, in literature, Chinese Year of the monkey, Chinese novel monkey king, Ramayana Hindu epic etc.

More hard to organize is my "Mythologies of the world" stamp collection. I created album pages for subjects that I have several stamps or sets. But I have many I can't create pages and they are still kept in stock books.

Here are several album pages:

I believe it is possible to organize Space stamps in that way too, at least these stamps with common subjects like Apollo-Soyuz mission or first man on the moon. Sure you will left with many stamps that have no common with other stamps.

@LaoPhil these are wonderful! Are those hawid mounts? Did you design these yourself and did you print this on acid-free paper?

Lovely background stories and quotes as well, this is simply beautiful to look at

That is a stunning mythology page. I also have something similar with respect to covers.

Also by size. I tend to group similar sized stamps with the larger stamps in the middle. And because it is topical, the theme matters more in the design of the page.

Thank you very much, Banana Bread, VerZakes and stampgreendragon, for your warm words. Glad you like the way I organize my thematic collection.

Yes, I use clear Hawid mounts and I design my pages using Microsoft Publisher program which is one of Microsoft Office programs. The papers are indeed acid free. Part of the pages (I have hundredths in different collections) I keep in acid free nylon bags (Leuchttrum)

Will glad to see your pages when time allows.

I will start new thread and will show all my "Mythologies of the World" pages.
