I apologize for joining this thread late and posting a stamp out of sequence but I just found it today. I assume the city is La Chapelle-Aux-Naux? If anyone knows of another French city or town that ends in NAUX I would appreciate hearing about it. Although this stamp is a little faulty I plan to give it its own page once I can actually determine where it was postmarked. I absolutely love going through batches of cheap stamps and finding silly mistakes like this one.

Rascal: I've come up with a list of 23 towns ending in -naux. I think the one you picked might be too long for that circle. There are several much shorter. If you could figure out which department there is at the bottom of that circle that might help you ID the town. A fun game!
