This Austrian FDC for Scott 1422 is dated 11 March 1988, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of End of Austria ( Finis Austriae) on March 11 1938. Next day German troops entered Austria and Hitler annexed his former homeland in what is known as the Anschluss.
