I don't have access to catalogs, so I would appreciate it if someone can look this up for me. In what year were the stamps inscribed "ST. KITTS NEVIS ANGUILLA"
first issued?

Saint Christopher, Nevis, Anguilla?

It was St. Kitts Nevis. It was St, Christopher and Nevis in the mid 1930s. In 1938 it became St Kitts, Nevis. In 1950, Anguilla was added by overprint for the tercentenary. In 1951, there was no overprint. In 1952, it became Saint Christopher, Nevis, Anguilla until and including 1980.

Not that inscription...the exact one where Christopher was dropped for Kitts.

The stamp I have that on doesn't have a date on it, but it pictures the East Yorks at the siege of Brimstone Hill. HOWEVER, I don't know if that was the first stamp bearing the SKNA inscription.

You are talking riddles. Saint Christopher and Nevis was used ca. 1935 and then it became St. Kitts Nevis again in 1938.

The stamp you refer to was issued 1971. In 1970, it was Saint Christopher, Nevis, Anguilla. In 1972, it was Saint Christopher, Nevis, Anguilla, again.

The use of Saint Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla apears to be a 1971 phenomenon. From the start of that year.

AHA! So using that inscription began in 1971. That's what I needed to know. Thank you!

That is incorrect. The Brimstone Hill issue was the last issue to use St Kitts Nevis Anguilla (1971).
The first issue to use SKNA was the Methodist Conference issue in Dec. 1967.
In 1968, 1969, 1970 and 1971 some issues showed St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla and some showed St. Christopher Nevis Anguilla.
From 1972 to 1980 only St Christopher Nevis Anguilla was used.

@22crows, thanks for that. It is quite a maddening exercise going through the listings and seeing the local official cannot decide on whether to name the island Saint Kitts or Saint Christopher.

Thank you, 22crows, for the final solution to my little problem.
Maybe the people who want to use Kitts instead of Christopher are just trying to use less printing ink?
