Would like some input from anyone who doesn't use pre-formatted albums like Scott's, Minkus, etc.

I have a lot of plate blocks and larger format stamps I'm trying to organize. I found a used album that has the pages pictured below. It's a simple concept, but I'm struggling to find something similar commercially. It's a plastic sheet protectors with inside seal and a black sheet in between. The Vario sheets are nice but expensive and I'd prefer something without pre-defined number of rows. Not sure if I'm using the wrong terminology in my searches but hoping that some crowd-souring wisdom can help me and others. Thanks.

I use individual glassine envelopes for my duplicates; one item per envelope. This allows me to write the Scott # (or any other pertinent info) on the outside. Glassines are easily available in bulk from most philatelic supply houses or websites, and come in a multitude of sizes.

Some plastic sheet protectors can damage the stamps long term as they cannot breathe.

Larger items? Blank quadrille - or other paper of a decent thickness - and corner mounts (two oer item usually suffice). I buy these - identical to Lighthouse, but much cheaper

For mint sheets, booklets, coil strips, I have used poly sleeves and put a paper insert to be a two sided. I later switched to black insert. If you get the "page size"
poly pages, they do not look as unsightly as the more common type. It was easier to use than Varios (my initial method) and you can save a mount too. If you use a lighter paper you can print information.
