Just received the following email purportedly from Cherrystone Auctions:

"Hi All, We have recently changed auction software providers, and a new account has now been created for you to use. Your credentials for this account are the following: Username: ********** Password: ******** Please visit this link to login, as well as to reset your password. If you have any issues please do not hesitate to reach out!"

The sender is "info@cherrystoneauctions.com" which matches the email on their website. However, my email service flagged this as suspicious and my current username/password works just fine on the Cherrystone website.

Has anyone else received this?

Call them. If it is a Phishing email, I am sure they would like to know about it.

No such email from "Cherrystone" to me.

I'm sure that's a phishing scheme and agree with mml that the real Cherrystone would want to know that at least some of their customer base is being attacked.

To All - This was sent prematurely and please accept our apologies for any confusion this may have caused. We are in fact switching auction software providers for the purpose of greatly enhancing our clients' overall experience but it is not quite ready.

We will send another email out to all clients right before the official new credentials email goes out.

This was sent prematurely and please accept our apologies for any confusion this may have caused. We are in fact switching auction software providers for the purpose of greatly enhancing our clients' overall experience We will let you know very soon when it is ready to launch.
