On a similar note: I had a dealer at an antique bottle show who would want to buy something and pay me later. I knew him very well so trust was not an issue. One time he brought some of the bottles back at he end of the show and said he had not sold enough to pay me. I could have sold the bottles myself had he not had them. I was not the only one he used this tactic with. That was the last time I did that type of deal with him.

All photos on Ebay are the property of Ebay and not the person who posted it. Ebay says it's okay to use their photos.

False.

By uploading images to eBay you are granting eBay a non-exclusive license to use those images, but ownership remains with the seller.

Note that this grant's *eBay* said license, not other sellers.

There is a mechanism to report other sellers using your intellectual property. Now whether eBay does anything to enforce this is up for debate...

I have a question for sellers on eBay and perhaps a "heads-up" note for buyers.

I just entered bid for three related items from the same seller, all ending within 15 minutes of each other. I hoped to purchase all three and of course, save a little on shipping and make it easier on the seller to pack things once rather than three times.

Great, I won all three.

To my surprise, eBay forced me to accept an automatic payment one hour after the items ended, and then would not allow me to request an invoice when I tried to pay earlier.

This was the first time in several months where I had won multiple items from a seller at the same time. Is this the new normal? I had not seen this previously, although I do occasionally find that I am asked when bidding to select the specific payment option.

Is this payment method something that a seller specifies when he lists his items, or is it one more thing that eBay is forcing on both buyers and sellers?

Obviously I can live with it, it's just seems like every move eBay makes is designed to annoy the users of their website.

Thanks for any information that anyone can provide.

Mike
