The only "Am Zone" or American Zone would be in post WWII Germany. The American portion of Panama, the Panama Canal Zone, was always known as the Canal Zone, not the American zone.

So a ship kinda like a railroad cancel. I note the SS Amazone didn't make it though the 2nd World War.
