The cancel date might make it easier to know which catalog number it is. |

Ironically, today is the 271st anniversary of Franklin's, "Join or Die" political cartoon, considered to be the first representation of the Union. |

On another note, when all you party animals put down the grass and beads…I'm looking to liquidate my WW2 Naval collection. More importantly I'm just trying to find an appropriate steward of this material as it has historical significance and value in that regard. If anyone has any ideas about how I could get this to the right place or person. Please don't hesitate with any suggestions or ideas. It is A-Z destroyers, aircraft, submarines. It's actually really really cool. |

I had stopped by PSe with some of my material and they thought cherrystone might be a good avenue. However the sheer volume would cost a fortune to ship. I need to reach out to them to |

han1mal: if your Naval material has historic value contact the USS Midway Museum in San Diego & ask if they would like to take stewardship |

I assume you belong to the Universal Ship Cancellation Society https://uscs.org/I suspect that they have resources and information for both how to sell your collection, or know of the organizations which would be in the best position to serve as stewards if the goal was to preserve the collection intact. They also would have dealer ads in their publications to advise you of dealers who specialize in the field and who would be potential buyers of the collection. |
