Just ask anyone who's met me!

Philatelically however... I recall reading this thread a number of years back on exposed screwheads being inked in margins of battleship revenues:

https://www.stampcommunity.org/topi...pic_id=42772

Since then, I've kept an eye out for examples at shows and online, but have struck out.

I missed out on a couple on ebay since I didn't notice them until after the fact:

Fast forward to earlier this week. I stopped by Denny Peoples' house in Indianapolis since I hadn't made it to any shows recently and couldn't make the MSDA show this weekend, and my eyes lit up when I saw these two pieces, from a collection of battleship-era material he had broken down.

Wonderful examples!

(although the quality control on the bottom piece with respect to printing & perforating is a bit sus.)

Looks like I also had a loose screw in my taxation of wine exhibit of more than two decades ago.

ok, not really a screw, but it looks like one
or a pac man

on a more related subject, the tagging mats used on some of the early Transportation coils were held down by screws and you can find untagged areas in the shape of a screw head on some

This would make a great exhibit! I've seen screw heads on occasion among the Smithsonian collection of BEP Certified Proofs.
