I found this stamp in my Dad's collection. It appears to be Scott Hungary #C45 but the colour is way off. Is this a colour changeling, or just a very faded stamp making it look like an olive shade?

My first impression is extremely faded due to sunlight, or soaking too long/ in hot water.

Thanks. This is what I figured that it is just extreme fading. However, I would have expected it to fade to some form of pink instead of this weird olive/bistre colour.

Fading by what ever means, chemicals or radiation (sunlight exposure) are both versions of "color changeling." (American responding here ).
