Several pages need reinforments for the holes.
How do I remove the pages so that I can reinforce the holes.
It looks like it is impossible to remove pages from the thick volume.
Is there a simple way to reinforce while the pages are still attached?

Cutting one side of the ring and carefully placing it over the damaged hole?

If you are referring to the old style Minkus Master Global binders you have a choice of removing the pages from the front or from the back by pulling out the appropriate metal rod. The pages come out and go back in relatively easily as long as you don't have glassine interleaving and keep them stacked to keep all the holes aligned. I used to have to do this on an annual basis when I was buying annual supplements and now when I self print some pages. That is also a good time to reinforce damaged page holes.

Depending on how full your binder is, Geoffha's solution may work if you have good access to the holes, but in my opinion I would rather take out the pages, reinforce the damaged holes and reassemble the lot.

PM Stamp is right that you can remove the pages by removing the rods and being very careful to stack the pages carefully so they are easier to put back in the album.

I got a Minkus collection recently and just repunched for a 3 ring binder and moved them into the binders. Much easier to use. Mine fit in a Vario G binder.

Have you considered moving from the monster Minkus binders to the smaller sized red ones? Then you could apply the hole reinforcements as you transfer groups of pages.

Or if you're up for a challenge, you could always invent a matter transporter (think Star Trek) and then beam those little paper washers into place.

I split my massive 1965 Minkus Master into three of the old green Minkus New Worldwide 2 post binders. I picked a bunch of those up cheaply years ago when Amos was clearing out old stock. The smaller groups of pages are much easier to handle.

I agree with with Statesman Stamper about moving over to newer red minkus binders. It's amazing how albums expand when stamps numbers begin to pile up. I started out with a 1958 Minkus Comprehensive Album which had around 700 pages (over 31,000 stamps according to the album cover sheet). I ended up filling all those spaces and it took 4 new (similar sized to original) to reasonably hold it all.

I notice that I need to reinforce the glassine interleaves more often than the regular pages which isn't surprising.
