Was this stamp printed imperforated? Or is this a cut square from an envelope? The paper is much thinner then normal envelope paper and the numeral perforated stamps. Thanks.

Unless they used different types of paper to print the stamps on I would be inclined to say it wasn't cut with scissors. The regular stamps that I own are much thicker.

I was examining the mexico numeral stamps that I own and realized the paper has varying thickness from to stamp to stamp. You' re correct vayolene the stamp is most likely cut with scissors.

I also have a couple of these that I had assumed were cut squares.

The paper of mine is no thicker than the perforated stamp versions, but as you can see, it is notably blue in both cases.

Are you saying these were never issued as envelopes (and therefore cut squares)?

Both envelopes and postal cards were issued by Mexico with this design between 1886 and 1894. Their use continued for several years after the design changed.
