Hi

Here is an nice looking R172p from a strip of three, the top stamp shows an outstanding double transfer, see arrows in scan of the entire stamp in question.

In addition there are two additional right and proper scans of just to top portion and bottom portion of the stamp in question without arrows or the vested interest indication!

Hope someone will enjoy these images, the two additional scans in my opinion are blurred, but that seems to be the best I can do!

Are double transfers common? Could they be on all stamps or just certain ones. Pretty cool to find one though. Maybe I should examine my older stamps more closely.

Nice find.

Because double transfers are plate varieties, they only show up in a specific position or positions where they were created during the creation of the plate. So there might only be one position on a plate with a double transfer; most plates have none.
