The gum on this stamp is causing wrinkling
which eventually crack the stamp.
To me the stamp looks regummed,
None of my other classic Iceland stamps have gum that resembles this.
Should the gum be removed to save the stamp???

Tim, this looks like fairly typical gum cracking for these stamps. However, it does look like it has been regummed, but quite some time ago my the look of it. Keep the gum on the stamp is my advice.

The gum cracking has already affected the front of the stamp so there's not too much you can do, short of buying a new stamp (which isn't cheap with these higher values).

To me, it looks like it was washed and then dried on a hot (too hot) surface.

Hi, there's nothing wrong with anything about the stamp or gum

not regummed at all.

this is how it often looks, do not soak it as it's value will decrese... the stamp won't take further "damage".
