Well I'm really a newb but I have a couple of items that I really enjoy admiring.

These are 2 of my favorites that I bid fairly aggressively for me being new but I liked the cancels quite a bit, I don't think they are true part perfs maybe eventually I'll send them off to see.

This block I got a couple of weeks ago and again I bid a little aggressive but I really enjoy the block with multiple cancels. When it finally arrived and I was inspecting it I noticed something looked a little strange with the top 2 stamps, it is more obvious on the right one, I put a picture below.

To me it looks like a double transfer, but I'm new and can't tell for sure.

I really enjoyed reading and seeing all of the wonderful cancels and will share any more I get my hands on.

-Willie

It does look like a DT, but a better scan is needed to be sure.

Evening revcollector and everyone else, here is a better close up of the areas, I was able to scan it in tonight.

First is the top right:

And the top left where it looks like there is a very minor transfer to the I and the L

Again here is a better scan of the block overall:

Let me know what your great minds think, I am always ready to learn something new.

Here are a couple from a $5 eBay lot that came in today. First is a beautiful strike for Novelty Plaster Works.

Here's three R228 with a Parcel Post usage. Ross, CA, not far from where I used to live.

At one time there was a tax on parcel post. Pity the wrapper is not complete.

For the most part, I haven't ventured outside the first issue when looking for cancels. These two, especially the Novelty Plaster Works, may inspire me to change that. Nice stuff, southpaw.

I have the Novelty Plaster Works cancel as well; with some searching you should be able to find one.

Heh. Welcome to the machine. Lots of typeset cancels and ornate/fancy handstamp cancels on the RBs. Be forewarned, they can get QUITE expensive if you're buying from Eric/Richard/etc.

I've noticed. That's one of the reasons I haven't gone down that rabbit hole yet.

I have to say. The second issue RBs are my favorites. Elegant simplicity of the design, colors, number of cancels.

The warning about fake roulettes should be taken very seriously. I did an informal survey of eBay listings of the roulettes last year leading up to APS Summer Seminar. I found about of the listed roulettes were fake, that is, philatelic forgeries. If you wish to have examples insist of certs or buy from Eric Jackson or Richard Friedberg.
