Angola, where the frequently used photographs were taken; does anyone know who the photographer was? Surely no paparazzo. The Scottish thistle logo is easily recognized but what are the others?

Probably rose (England), daffodil (Wales) and shamrock (Northern Ireland).

Hi Geoff, You are absolutely right about the Tudor rose and the Irish shamrock, but I have the feeling that the Welsh flower is a bit of a combination between a daffodil and a leek. Saint David is said to have often eaten leek. Wouldn't that be a nice topic: National Flowers?

Wordsworth.........

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,

It must have been the same designer/printer who did these sheets for Zambia (one stamp is posted earlier) as did the sheet for Angola shown above. I found this scan on the web and was surprised at the cost of the set. Does anyone know if they are for real?

(Hi Rod, That's a lovely Wordsworth! Surely Diana knew it. K.)

There's nothing quite like the English experience, of coming upon a field of Bluebells or Daffodils, it simply takes your breath away.

Central African Republic.

The rose, named after Diana, in the first day cancel of Stanley, the capital of the Falklands. (1998)

(Hi Rod, you're right on about the bluebells and daffodils! Especially in the spring sunshine. K.)

Mayreau is the smallest inhabited island of the Grenadines, with an area of about 1.5 sq. miles and a population of about 270+. The population is centered in an unnamed village, located on Station Hill, a hilltop in the south-west of the island. I don't know if this stamp would be valid outside of the Grenadines, but it's pretty, and has another pink rose. The background photo appears to be of Sandringham Estate, where Diana was born at Park House, now a hotel for disabled travelers.

Rod - I suspect the population of Myreau doesn't know that it issues stamps!
