rod, I just noticed your post above showing this Goose Girl item.

Was this from one of the Swedish Post information sheet?

If ok with you I would like to add it to the thread where
we discussed the printing of this stamp.

As nice as Swedish stamps are, both in design and production,
It is of my opinion, they do fail in their brevity of information.

Quite often, even with Slania's work, there is no date, or information.
Take the above Waxholm boat.
For any novice appreciating the stamp, there is nothing there to inform,
hence the initial curiosty is dulled.

One has to be a stamp collector, with a catalogue to fully appreciate.

Thanks Rod.
I received and kept all the new issue announcements from the PFA from
1970 to 1987 so I figure that printing info would have been
included.
Guess I misplaced it.

I agree with you about the scarcity of information on Swedish stamps
especially on their definitives where there is zero.

Take this Scott 747A issued in 1971.
Scott calls it Nils Holgersson Riding Wild Goose.

Fine if you have Scott, then googling it will inform you
in dozens of pages about The Wonderful Adventures of Nils

But back in the ancient pre-internet 1970s where would I have
found this info?
I don't think local libraries here in Canada would have had
a copy of this foreign fairy tale book then.
