I received "Norgeskatalogen2016" (the best special catalog for Norwegian stamps)

Also some booklets of France red cross late 60's early 70's.

And some 30 Posthorn stamps in various condition, color and denomination.

Called iHobb regarding a long-delayed order. Spoke to a very friendly and helpful woman. She confirmed that my order had not been lost to the void, and that it should ship out early next week.

Could you do me a favor and check what it says about perforation of NordKap V (1957) stamps. I know major Facit, Michel etc. tell they are perf 13, but the set I have is actually closer to perf 13 than 13...

March was a comparatively light (cheap) month for Irish new issues. But I have them mint and used.
Likewise the Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King stamps which were issued last week. Appropriately they are at International rate so I sent some off on envelopes to friends in USA, England, Scotland, Portugal, Argentina. The idea is that they will send me back the envelopes. This is the start of a relatively new project...collect mail that I send to foreign parts...and it adds some depth and texture to my collection.
On the downside still waiting for three albums that I ordered on 20th February. Initially out of stock and then they sent two of the wrong albums/

I purchased some items from the latest APS sales circuit I received. Identified the stamps, printed Steiner pages and created custom pages for the varieties. Ready to start putting the stamps into the albums. Here are some of the stamps I purchased.

Nice Robert! I especially like the Queen Wilhelmina 2,5 guilder - there are two varieties. One has line perforation 11 1/2 and the other 12 1/2. Value is approximately the same.

[size=3]I was recently working with JerryB on phosphorescence types of the 1976-79 Brazil defins, and finally got around to making some album pages for them. I would be happy to share them with anyone who might want them. They are in PowerPoint but I could easily change the file type. The following are just thumbnails of them.

Probably 15 years ago or more, I got my hands on a modest sized private correspondence to Edgar Jessup, a mid 20th century major US collector.

There are many letters from Ashbrook to Jessup, spanning a period from 1932 until about 1956. Also represented are Philip Ward, Warren Colson, Ezra Cole, Morris Fortgang, and one letter from Ashbrook to Neinken.

I spent some time this weekend organizing all of these into a notebook so I can make chronological sense out of them, and see if there is anything worthwhile to learn in there. Lots of gossip.

I received in the post two items from eBay. An early US collection that included a 50c. Columbus and 50c. trans-Mississippi (both used), plus lots of other nice high values. Then a Spain collection of mostly mint material from around WWII. I'll keep the used stuff and sell the mint.
then back to soaking the remnants of a couple of recent kiloware purchases, and scanning some albums to list on eBay.

Forgot to add, popped into the local general auction to view a stamp lot. It looked like rubbish from the photo on the website, and rubbish it proved to be. But I had to go out grocery shopping anyway, so not a wasted trip, just disappointing.

Had a punt, sight unseen, on a French lot at Spink. My punt was capsized by a passing speed-boat, as the lot went for twice my bid.
