1961 Poland issues six stamps commemorating their shipbuilding.

As the tonnage increased, so did the length of the stamp.

The 5zloty60grozy issue, ended up 4.25 inches long.

If I remember aright, Poland issued quite a few largish stamps,though that one takes the cake.

Yes, I reckon 1960 onwards, some were large and square,
which made it great for appreciating the Art series, but others looked a bit like wasted space.
I was just browsing and recalled the 1996 small format
signs of the zodiac....Art Deco!

Yes, among all the nations that have released them, that is my favourite zodiac set.
