The Prexies, is a nick-name for the Presidential issue, Scott Catalog 803 - 834, issued 1938 to 1939

I was curious about that also. I found this ad on ebay "MNH Prixie Short Set Scotts 803 – 830 US Stamps" and was wondering what "Prixie" meant. Then in this forum I found it spelled "Prexie". Using that spelling I found "(philately) (colloquial) A definitive stamp of the presidential series issued by the United States from 1938 to 1954." This is a great forum, glad I found it. |

Sorry Yaakov Ben David should have said to the forum. Very nice Tom(NR)but tell me why did it cost so much to send consular mail when registered mail was half that of consular mail  |

Good question.......I have no idea.....register airmail was less than consular mail ??
Does anyone have any info that might explain this ? |
